airjordan223
is tanabe any good for a del sol? or is greddy the way to go? or another company. i know this had been posted b4 but oh well.
xxscaxx
Tanabe and GReddy are both good...for a while i was trying to decide between them, but then i decided to go custom. i bought a HKS muffler and got custom 2 1/4 pipes from the cat back. it sounds Amazing, i get so many complements. i love the sound of GReddy but everyone around where i live has it, so i wanted to be different, and custom cost less than GReddy or Tanabe. i got mine for 300 even (not including the muffler). even with the muffler you save money anyway. I had it done professionally so thats why it cost a little more ( the labor was like 150) but it was the best investment i have made. I like the sound of GReddy i think a little better, its more like fast and the furious souding, but its up to you. im sure if u surf the web u can find some clips of them. i am pretty sure your talkin about sound, but if your talkin about performance, im not too sure about that. try to get sound clips of them so you can hear it, u dont wanna dump 500 bucks into nothin. -JoE

BigBirdSucks
i wouldnt go for the greddy, i think they sound crusty and arent worth what you pay they're much different on a del Sol than on a CRX. every Sol owner I've talked to about the Greddy exhausts have been happy with them. RS*R > * can't wait for the exmag for my rex to get here.. have another three weeks though :( apex'i does not make exhausts specifically for the del sol. if you wanted an apex'i, you'd have to get the universal muffler and have it welded to your piping... Slowtegra
What apexi exhaust do you have? N1/WS "Dunk"..... i would say its pretty close to an N1 just with a different muffler, im not sure if its still made. as far as the greddy systems go, they dont sound terrible, but i just personally think other brands sound better also a kid i know put i think it was a greddy xp on is 98 integra and it broke in about a month.... this kid is a dumbass, but i know he wasnt doing anything that should have broken an exhaust.... ie. my reason for saying you pay too much for what you get
BigBirdSucks
ok, so there's one person out of hundreds of people who own Greddy exhausts that's had a problem.

Your Integra looks good. -After seeing a picture of this Greddy exhaust I knew then that I would never buy one. This pic is from another board that I'm a member of. The owner said the exhaust corroded from the inside out then shot out. This Greddy fart pipe took a dump. Edit: Also Greddy did not help this guy out so he was pretty upset. I thought it was a joke until I saw how seriously pissed off he was.

airjordan223
hey guys, i think im goin with the greddy evo2 exhaust system. two questions..... am i going to need to cut any of the car away so the muffler fits under? and does the stock cat. converter stay where it is? or whats the deal? thanks in advance
Slowtegra
as long as you have the stock bumper you shouldnt have to cut anything away, and it will bolt right up to the cat

S14Silvia
skunk2 is better then a lot of stuff out there... but far from the best.
CRG7
s14 knows... as for hp, you won't see much of any gain without other modifications. you can't just slap an exhaust on and believe that you've got 10 more hp now because of it...
airjordan223
im getting the greddy evo2 catback system. for installation, will there need to be welding? or is everything just bolt on. how much do you think installation should run$?
CRG7
as long as you receive the exhaust that's made for your car, then there should be no welding required. as for installation costs, try free. jack up your car and bolt it on yourself.
optional187
it will seriously take no more than an hour if you take your time and take frequent breaks.
