..SSR..
A built D series is cheaper than a B and can be just as powerful (unless compared to a 2.0).
Mercutio
SSR...Golden Eagle MFG said it would cost me 3800 to resleeve my engine and get it working right with new valves, pistons, rods, etc... a B18C will cost me about the same once shipped, plus installa---..................hmm. Well than, I guess my only problem is shipping the engine round-trip to SoCal. G*d Damn*t. You and your...your...knowledge! Gah...I think it's the fact that you're so young that throws everyone off. I appreciate your advice, thanks. I've gotta think this through before I can do anything, maybe sell my Porsche (its beat to crap and old and not running, nobody get excited)
optional187
keep the porsche, one day it'll be worth something. thats the only reason why i'm keeping my 912.
Mercutio
Heh, we have something better in mind. LS1 engine conversion. Chevy power, so to speak. That and Im going to get rid of some of that weight with some Dry Carbon (hopefully, and my uncles a bodyman, so its not unfeasible) 928's are heavy, so the carbon would not be purely for looks. Mercutio
Well I'll be damned. i think I got thrown off by when someone was talking about the NASA stuff, and I thought they said Arizona, but I guess it nationwide. *sigh* He's probably not serious anyways, I mean, "whoopee doo"? But by all means, SSR, if you're serious, Im in.
..SSR..
Yes I am serious. I picked the name WDR because every other shop sounds too serious or ricerish (Ride Revolution, Xtreme Speed, etc). I'm in northeast Tennessee. I'm getting my tax ID number on Tuesday then I will file locally.

Ya but why not start with a strong base then build up. ture its more expensive but in the long run it will have more hp
stuckmofo
wdr? You can come up with a better name, I think the name should be sorta serious....the names reflects on the shop... people want serious work done. what bout tenacious motor sports>TMS just a suggestion.. I know u know a crap load about cars so I'm sure you know what your doing
..SSR..
I don't need a better name WDR is perfect. Tenacious Motor Sports is one of those trying to be to serious names. A 1.8 D will beat a 1.8 B.

A 1.8 D will beat a 1.8 B. can't u take a b series futher though? I mean why would be people be doing swaps? Also I don't think it would be that much cheaper to build a d then put a b in...installations are expensive...like bore/stroke and sleve and all that stuff....unless you were thinking about doing it yourself!? ..SSR..
A fully built B will beat a D, but a street built D will beat a street built B with the same amount of money into it (including engine). A D is a lot cheaper. Look at the price for the best D series, then the best B series. D16Y8 = $700 from junkyard B18C = $4,500 from HMO

civicracer388
So even though a ZC isn't a D-series, when it's fully built, it will beat a B-series? Just wondering because I plan on building a ZC.
