front plate or not plate?

I've been driving without a front plate ever since I changed my plates. To lazy to go find a new screw since my old ones rusted over. Got pulled over 3 times during that time, which has been 8 months or so. 2 of them let me go when I produced the plate and told them about the screws and I was on my way to purchasing some.

The 3rd time tho, sucked. It was night time and I had just gotten gas. Pulled out of the station, when the lights came on. I was pulled over for a loud exhaust. Officer asks me to pop my hood. Open my hood, showed him the CARB stickers. He looks down, and realizes I have no plate. Gives me a ticket for my plate. Ughh...

yeah i know, i hate that shiet!! the dealership drilled two f*cking holes into my damn front bumper for the dang plate!:mad: plus, some f*g t-boned me and BARELY skinned my front bumper so now the 2 front bolts for the plate are shifted diagonally!

sometimes i wish everyone drove cars they really love, which will lead them to really take care of their car. hoping this will cause less accidents..>_<

Ive had my front plate off for almost a year now and I've been pulled over once for it, but I wasn't ticketed. This a day after I was side-swiped mind you, so I was back-talking to the cop like a mutha. I said, "Yeah, I know you didn't see it when you U-turned to follow me and then pull me over once I started to get on the freeway, but the right side of my car got SMASHED yesterday, and I ordered a new LP frame just last week, so Im not feeling too good right now." - (With minor exageration)
