..SSR..
I listen to alternative rock, and some trance or whatever. I don't get into all of the genre names. I like Darude, Chemical Brothers, Mr. Hans (Linkin Park), Paul Oakenfold. Never gotten into it a whole lot, just hear something I like and it catches on. I don't really think they do that at many clubs, at least the ones I've been to that play Trance etc.... I do still see it at parties(i.e. raves)though. sup
I listen pretty much only rock, the good stuff like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band, Steppinwolf, The Ramones, The Who, and lots more. Good music like those bands will never happen again because IMO great music has already passed us, and most music today is manufactured by record companies not for the love of making music, but just for the money. Its painful for me to listen to bands like Linkin Park, Korn, Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd, Good Charlotte, Thursday, and lots more
BuddySol
I voted Techno...altho more happycore and hardhouse. Altho, I listen to other crap too...I just prefer the mind numbing beats. When I would walk into a club and find glowsticks, pacifiers, and candy walkers I'd walk back out...leave that drug crap at the raves... But the clubs I go to are all hip hop/rap...from 1 to 5 rooms of just hip hop... Altho, every once in a while I goto clubs that don't play trance/house anthems constantly. bleh

optional187
its kind of funny how people hate korn because they're trendy. i can remember before the big korn trend a few years back when people didn't really like them...then they got trendy with that video where it followed the bullet. freak on a leash? my cousin is a hardcore korn fan, he's got everything including the bootlegs. all the shirts they've ever put out, posters, etc. i just get him to hook me up with a complation of korn songs on a burned cd once in a while. Jack Black was talking about what you just typed, how music nowadays isnt made for the love of music. That movie was awsome!! Jack Black isn't just funny but that foo is talented with the electric guitar!!!

You know, dance music that has soul to it, not some kiddie trance you download at www.i'm15andtakedrugsanddancelikeanerdandwillhavenobrain.com? don't hate, trance is cool, just an opinion
