EJACKSON24 Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I am trying to use the wireless headphones that came with my 2020 Honda Pilot Touring. When I turn them on, 9/10 times I just hear the message “Display screen is on. Display screen is off. Move the screen to a vertical position to turn it back on.” repeating. The 1/10 times it actually does work and my child can hear the dvd playing. I’m not sure what I’m doing differently that 1/10 time when it actually works. I’ve read the manual and it doesn’t have any information on how to connect these or how to troubleshoot them. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote
Bliss1221 Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 We've been having this exact issue with our CPO 2021 Pilot since we bought it 6 months. I can't figure out any combination or restarting that fixes the issue. It is really annoying! I can't find anything else on the topic anywhere online. It is probably time to contact the dealer. Quote
CLLhonda Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Ours does this too!! Following because I can’t find any guidance! I think the dealership looked at it too bc we’ve had a lot of issues with our sound system and couldn’t figure it out. Quote
CB56 Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Had this issue as well. Use the remote that comes with the car and press power. It resets it and works fine after that Quote
Tranh Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 I also have the EX-L model year 2020 bought back in June 2021. I have the same issue with: DISPLAY SCREEN IS ON, DISPLAY SCREEN IS OFF. mOVE THIS SCREEN TO VERTICAL POSITION TO TURN BACK ON. It is really annoying, and it is still doing it. Is it a failure on the wireless itself? Quote
TylerW Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 (edited) Our 2020 Honda Van is doing this as well, both on wireless and wired headphones, so must be some glitch with Entertainment center. I did update our system over WiFi and seems to do it less but still has done it after update. I just recently plugged in one of the wires headphones in back and it repeated the message with Van not on, which is very concerning as that would use power and could drain down battery. I have not had issue with battery yet but taking it to Dealership on 1/16/23 to see what they say and get issue noted while under warranty. Please if anyone has a solution to this send me info. My guess is weird issue with entertainment center and Honda will have to come up with patch in one of the updates but people need to complain so it’s goes high on their radar to patch with software update. Got to love electronics…. Edited January 7, 2023 by TylerW Quote
RyDad Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 2023 Honda Odyssey. The screen needs to be in vertical position for the wireless headphones to receive a signal. And then it'll cut out till I jiggle the screen, indicating a loose cable strap. Audio to speakers and rear jacks is unaffected. No solution from searching yet. Quote
