LorenK Posted January 9, 2022 Share Posted January 9, 2022 Hello everyone and happy new year. I recently bought a 1995 Del Sol VTEC from a guy off Craigslist. The odometer displayed 78k miles and he showed me the Carfax to back it up. Well, turns out it was a fake or edited one he had made. Like an idiot I decided to double check the Carfax for myself after I bought it. Turns out the odometer had been rolled back to 78k after it had already hit 244k. Unfortunately I’ve already spent thousands on upgrades and new parts so I’m pretty stuck here. My question is, since I’m dealing with such a high mileage engine here, is how long do B16s typically last, and is a rebuild/overhaul really worth it or should I do a swap when the time comes?
