I cleared it and it hasnt come back yet (only 20 miles or so) does anyone know what this code is, what might have caused it, and is it serious, have the warrenty til 100k but hate going to the dealer unless I really need to. EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Control Canister System) code P1457 your probably looking at $140 for parts ($50 and change for vent shut valve, $80 and change for the canister) and about 2.2 hours of labor If not it could be one of many things, Loose gas cap EVAP bypass solenoid valve EVAP two way valve EVAP purge control solenoid valve -optional187 is correct, check if this is covered in your warranty.
