throatgorge
I have recently moved into a house where a 1994 Honda Passport 4wd was abandoned and had a salvage yard come and remove other vehicles. The vehicle has no battery, no key, and the front end is mostly disassembled. The Salvage company told me we had to get it in neutral and push it to where it wasn't parallel to the brick wall in order to remove it. With no key, it is impossible to get this thing out of park. I already removed another vehicle by disconnecting the shifter cable and manually moving the transmission lever into neutral. This transmission appears to not have a lever, but a solenoid for shifting gears. I'm tired of all this junk in my yard, I want to have a safe place for my kids to play. The wheels are already turned so if I can push it back the salvage yard will tow this piece of junk out for me. If someone can tell me how to get it in neutral or disconnect the drive train I would be very pleased. Barring an answer here, I will go to a Honda Dealership and ask an experienced Honda mechanic.
