Using a different oil filter part number than one that is recommended

Recommended Posts

I found a great deal on Bosch distance plus oil filters. The filters are D3325. However they list my Odyssey requiring D3322. The size seems very similar. Is this a wise thing to do using another but close in part number filter.

If I were to purchaser these what would I have to specifically measure?

Is the screw portion standard across all cars?

It looks like the D3325 is recommended for American Cars. Thanks
