Stagg99
I purchased a 3.2 liter V6 for my girlfriends '98 Passport. Apparently there is a block difference. Both blocks (original & newly purchased) have "6VDI" in the casting on the passenger side of the block. The newly purchased block has "Isuzu" in the casting on the drivers side of the block. The heads are exactly the same. The blocks appear to be exactly the same however, at the surface where the head mounts to the block, there is a 1/4" height difference. This makes my timing belt loose and i cant get any answers why and what to do. I tried finding another belt with lesser teeth-no luck. I even tried checking different model years and they have more teeth. Mine calls for 191 teeth. I think i need one with 185. Has anyone any advice or guidance? Tried to add photos for reference with no luck. Stagg
