93PreludeVTEC
I have a 93 Prelude VTEC that has all new fuel pump, fuel filter, starter, battery, battery terminals blah blah... Anyway, my throttle cable melts because of some electrical charge running through it. When my engine is off, my digital cluster and radio work. When I start the car, they don't work, and after running for about a minute the car chokes and dies. I'm lost at this point.
James Matteu
Make sure you have all engine grounds connected which I know you don't since the throttle cable is currently (pun intended) the path least resistance. Also check for other melted connections and blah blah...
93PreludeVTEC
So while looking around for bad connections in my dash, my digital cluster stopped lighting up,I hadn't even disconnected it yet before this happened. All I did was remove a screw from the speedo/tach And then I disconnected everything and then put it back together and its still not working. 93PreludeVTEC
And also the radio isn't working anymore.
James Matteu
Disconnecting a hot circuit is a sure way to blow fuses. Check them all.
