Trey2067
Hey guys. So recently, the alternator on my 2004 Accord was replaced (I should have done it myself but was out of town so it was taken to the dealership). Since then, it has had an idling surge problem...but only while the AC is on. Otherwise, it runs just fine. What happens is that it will be idling around 800 then drop to around 450 and just bounce up and down. I pulled, and cleaned the IAC, checked all the vacuum lines etc. I actually took it back to the dealership. They claimed there was a slit in the main intake hose...I checked it, and there is not. Any ideas?
Jeff Collision
The idle control valves tend to stick open causing the idle surge. You have to replace it.
