willy441 Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 Hey, iv'e got a weird one here. About a month ago my daughter's 99 civic with the standard 1.6 5 speed started,ran for a minute then died. The next day started and ran fine. last week it started doing this again. doesn't matter if it's hot or cold. im getting fuel psi. when it won't start and had a tune up 6 months ago. mechanicatheart Posted July 25, 2013 Share Posted July 25, 2013 Knock on the catalytic converter when its cold and listen for rattling. if it sounds solid check the wiring to your oxygen sensor downstream from the cat and if that looks good you most likely just need a new sensor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
