Rocken Bakken
Hey everyone im just kind of looking for some words of wisdom to help me find out whats going on with my 86 CRX. It has been overheating lately, especially when it sits or idles for long periods of time. I feel like the thermostat or fan isnt opening when i am not moving. When i drive it the thermostat opens and i run a healthy temp. But today i was driving home and it over heated extremely, my fan wasnt on and i found no leaks and has plenty of fluid. I also changed thermostat yesterday. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? i dont think its a head gasket... no smoke, no water in oil, plent of power and i can drive it for long periods of time. but somewhere deep is a coolant issue and it making me nervous.\ Thanks, Sam. James Matteu
Could be fan switch, check it out. Could be old water pump, check it out.
