maxehrlich44 Posted July 14, 2013 Share Posted July 14, 2013 my 99 vtec accord has recently started acting up. more and more frequently, when i turn the ignition key, the little green key icon doesn't flash and the car doesn't start. it seems to be some kind of theft deterrent and the car can't read my key. i've tried using both of my keys with the same result. some time later the car will read the key fine and start. it seems to happen more frequently when it's hot but i'm not certain there's a correlation there. how can i fix this or get around it?? please help!
