Eric Burgess
Whilst driving I hear this weird sound. Sounds like a loud bad CV Axle. When I am driving it only makes the sound when I coast, but if I coast while turning left I don't hear it. I put car in air and put in 1st gear don't hear it. Would a transmission make this noise? This is a manual gearbox in a 1995 EG DX. It also doesn't make the noise while braking Also my LCA on drivers side at the front side inner bushing is bad can I change the arm or do I need to get new bushing installed? Jeff Collision
A crackling noise indicates that your car has a bad CV boot. The CV boot is a rubber covering that goes over your CV joint behind your tire. When the CV boot rips, the rubber makes a crackling noise when you turn.
