cousey Posted June 24, 2013 Share Posted June 24, 2013 hey everybody im new and I got a question. My civic which is a 2000 non vtec 5 speed. When i start to slow done for a stop or when i do stop the car will die and or go to a very low rpm. And which now has developed a skip above 2000 rpms. Any advice? Xeryon Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 Your issues may be resolved by cleaning and adjusting your IACV, Idle Air Control Valve. No, I am not going to tell you how to do it. If you are unsure pick up a service manual at your local auto parts store. Your car is extremely popular and all stores stock that manual. A Chiltons manual will have color pictures and everything for you. Not being a dick but it's kind of hard to describe and best viewed through diagram or picture if you haven't done it before.
