hapkidokid82
im debating on throwing in a turbo in my d16y8 or grab a 1999 b16a motor and drop that in and begin to upgrade it,, what would be better in the long run,, any suggestions would be very helpful before I start to buy parts
Xeryon
Anything N/A should out-live forced induction. The N/A was designed that way from the ground up, the F/I was not.
hapkidokid82
so u would go with the swap then eh?? plus by N/A u mean not applicable?
James Matteu
N/A = naturally aspirated Meaning no turbo. As my professor used to say, "Be more acronymble!"
Xeryon
Lol N/A is indeed Naturally Aspirated F/I is Forced Induction (turbo and supercharger) Most stock cars are N/A. Maybe about 5% have a factory turbo (like VWs) or a supercharger (Buicks) but the term N/A is generally associated with an engine that has been modified internally to increase compression to increase power without the need for externally applied compression increasers.
