95-del-sol
so yesterday i put my del sol back together after the car had overheated. gasket blown - replaced, thermostat didn't seem to be operating-replaced, upper hose cracked - replaced, radiator cap - replaced. car starts, idles fine, but after a let it idle for a bit, 20 minutes or so, it started spraying coolant out of the reservoir. i cannot find the problem, i can't think of what could be causing my car to still over heat. i need to get the car back on the road asap, so please shoot some ideas my way. help me figure this out. thanks! toadyboy
its either the bottom of the radiators plugged/ a baD water pump or the head gasket has blown
95-del-sol
What would have caused the head gasket to blow again? Obviously that's what needs to be cured. Should I do I flush or at this point should I consider new radiator and/or fan/motor assembly?
James Matteu
Did you inspect the Head for warpage while it was off? Did you use new head bolts? Edited April 21, 2013 by James Matteu
