zachtw
I own a 93 Civic DX & the rocker panel on the driver side is in bad shape. The guy I bought it from had filled it with foam and covered it up with bondo to get a sticker and I didn't know this. Since I've had it the fix he did has pretty much fallen apart. It has severe rust to the point where there is an arm sized hole right at the rear lift point. I live in NH and I've been pulled over 3 times in the last 2 weeks for having an expired inspection sticker so I really need to get this to pass inspection. I don't have a huge budget, but I've got a friend with a lift who can weld for me, I just need to know how to patch this up enough that the car can be lifted from that point again and pass inspection. I'm pretty desperate now, please help me out if you have any idea what I can do to fix her up. The pics aren't great but hopefully they'll show enough. James Matteu
Okay, I don't know what it takes to pass inspection but to lift from that point again you'll need to cut that section off a good chassis and weld it in place of yours. Then replace the fender guard.
