Help, mirror mount

I woke up one morning to my mirror hanging off my passenger side door. The glass and electronics are fine. I ordered a new casing for the window in the exact color. Unfortunately, it didn't come with the mount/bracket that holds the mirror to the door. I called my dealership and they tell me the part is not sold separately. I apparently need to buy an entire new mirror assembly (cost $315) for a 2 oz plastic piece. Is there anyway around this other than a junk yard? I find it annoying Honda does not sell the part separately.
