lombaed0 Posted November 23, 2012 Share Posted November 23, 2012 My 96 Accord is starting to kind of overheat. i just had the radiator and thermostat replaced. but after the car is on for a while it will start to heat up. the gauge has always stayed under the halfway mark but now it will go up to that line and sometimes go some what over. I have no idea what can be causing this to happen the only guess that i have is maybe a crappy thermostat, but if anyone has had this happen or might know whats going on please let me know. James Matteu Posted November 23, 2012 Share Posted November 23, 2012 Bleed the cooling system again. Make sure your reservoir is filled to the minimum level, at least minimum. Use a Honda thermostat if you suspect it. They're not that expensive considering what they do and how important it is for the thermostat to do its job.
