Mitchell.ells Posted August 15, 2012 Share Posted August 15, 2012 I have the d16z6 and the other day i was driving and all a sudden i started hearing a ticking, like engine knock, when i am looking at the engine. i left the top timing cover cover off, and i am watching the timing pulley wobble like its loose, but its not, and i can see metal shavings coming from the timing cover. also the sound is getting louder when i rev it. i am a mechanic. however this is my first honda ever and i am trying to get ideas. i am thinking i bent a rod or broke a rod. or messed up the crank bearing.. please help. and please dont be a ass. if u have ideas or came across this before please give me a direction to run off before i go grab a motor and swap em out.
