Tubbith Posted June 1, 2012 Share Posted June 1, 2012 So, My April 20/21 was an interesting night. I don't remember anything from 30 minutes/an hour before the wreck until about 6 hours after. I do know the acura (and my seat belt) saved my life that night. No other vehicles involved. Looks like I ran off the road a bit, over corrected, and the car started spinning. I was along for the ride after that. Went into the ditch backwards at an unknown speed, and made contact right where the ditch meets someones driveway. The car flipped and landed on the roof where I was trapped in the car until the FD pulled me out. Spent 5 or so hours in the ER. My head was all kinds of banged up, but other than that and 10 stitches in my arm, I was pretty much uninjured. I think I did something to a tendon in my left hand and my neck and back are still bothering me, but I'm alive and walking around, so I can't complain at all. Like I said, I don't remember anything from the wreck. All of what I just typed is based on my observations of tire marks, car damage, and the police report. Sowwwies. (I wanted them too, but didn't have a chance to grab them. For about two weeks my whole head was bruised and swollen to the point of being visibly noticeable from a distance. I'm not too worried about the car since I was trying to sell it anyway. State Farm game me more than I paid for the car 4 years ago and more than I was asking for it while trying to sell it. Just hate that I had to flip it to get ride of it. I was riding along for an accident similar to yours when the driver fell asleep and went off road into the ditch and hit the embankment for a driveway. My seat belt didn't catch and I hit the dash for the initial hit/ramp off the ditch and when the car landed on the ground the airbag went off point blank into my face. I don't remember much after the crash but I remember everything before and during. I even recall the point where the airbag went off. The hilarity that ensued can be best summed up like the old road runner and coyote cartoons where the hit in the head makes little stars circle your head.
