TLontheDL Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 so i went to go see it saturday with some friends. i thought it was good.. not GOOD GOOD but good. i had a friend who was crying while watching it and another friend wanted to get up and leave b/c it was too gory. its not scary like...the exorcist or anything like that. it is just gory..lots of blood. there were parts that made you jump though....definately a movie you'd want to bring a cute chick to go see.
royracerRSX Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 some people that i know said they showed scenes from the real accident and it freaked em
TLontheDL Posted October 22, 2003 Author Posted October 22, 2003 yeah they showed actual black and white pictures and videos from the scene at that time (early 70s). its pretty freaky knowing its a true story.
BuddySol Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 isn't it loosely based on a true story? that's what i was led to believe. Like the actual "massacre" was in another state or something...
TLontheDL Posted October 22, 2003 Author Posted October 22, 2003 i heard it took place in the upper states as well. it is based on a true story. the real guy was named ed gain or something like that. let me go look for the story and post it up.
joecollins2 Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 I wanted to see that. Everyone I've talked to said it was awsome!
royracerRSX Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 someone told me it happened in michigan not texas
BuddySol Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 It was Wisconsin, and the guy was name Ed Gein. An old farmer, who would pull odd jobs to make money. They say his abusive mother may have turned him into what he became. They could only pinpoint 3 murders on the guy, even tho he had more remains on property. Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and "Buffalo Bill" from Silence of the Lambs among many other horror movies were very loosely based on him and his story.
joecollins2 Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 He's more of the Buffalo Bill and Psycho type than TCM guy from what I'm reading now.... Sick and long but good!
VR17 Posted October 31, 2003 Posted October 31, 2003 i saw it last night, i thought the movie was pretty dope.. totally unexpected when she blows her head in the beginning..it got freaky when that hook went up that one guys butthead, and just hung there.. He's more of the Buffalo Bill and Psycho type than TCM guy from what I'm reading now.... Sick and long but good! nice job joe..interesting..
