K20 Del Sol build (Also building a K24)

Like a few of you here, I've got more than one Del Sol. I ended up having enough parts for almost a 2nd K-swap. Well, here's my first...

You'll have to check it out at http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=60195 since this site won't let me post pics. I still have a few things to finish up ATM like brakes, exhaust and the shifter. This will be A LOT different than your D and B-series builds...

With the D-series gone...

Here is where it stands right now...

are you gonna run itb's ? i hear they add quite a bit of pep to the motor.

so is the other k series already in a del sol?

Not yet. I have a K24 sitting on my garage floor waiting till I have money to bore it out. Plus, I did want to get a different head for it. With what I have, I can make it run on the big lobes all the time (VTEC killer) but then my idle will suck. I have an almost stock K24A2 in my RSX.

Looks like a lot of fun. Glad to see you are using ear protection. A lot of folks wear protection at work, but don't protect when working in their own garage. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, I use the ear protection when I'm grinding or drilling sometimes. Not all the time I'm afraid to admit but if I know I'm going to be doing something for a long time, I'll use it for sure. Like drilling out the spot welds on the radiator support.

And it appears I neglected to answer something earlier. Not going to use ITB's. Just gonna stick with the RBC intake manifold which is supposed to be pretty good. I want to bore my TB out to 70mm or buy an aftermarket one though. But not in the budget.

The other K-swap is in my RSX. It now has a K24. I blew my RSX's K20A2 during the build (luckily I had a 3rd car, another Del Sol but automatic, which was also a candidate for the swap). I was about to use the CRV engine meant for the Del Sol for my RSX but I got a TSX block for $400. Just had to replace a rod and piston.
