'00 POS
Hey guys, new to the forum and having a bit of a problem. So last year I bought A 2000 Accord LX 4 cyl. Auto with a bad tranny. I put a JDM transmission in, replaced the cat. converter (it needed one), did the timing belt, water pump etc. My problem is this, when the car downshifts it takes a second or two for the tranny to engage. For example if Im doing 60 and stomp on the throttle, the rpms will race, the car just kinda coasts, the a second or so later the trans will grab. It dosent feel like a slip as much as it feels like the car just takes a few seconds to figure out what its supposed to do. This car also seems to stay in gear too long during acceleration and seems to lack power. Maybe a torque converter problem? Any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance for any responses.
