yeah ive killed them before like that. had to do it to a friends pet. it was rabid and none of the medicine would work. everyone felt bad(including me) for the bunny being the way it was. i was the only one who had it in me. i just put it out of its misery.

That's the manly version of what I do when girls scream when there is a big ugly insect around...I just smash it with newspaper or tissue or something :p

killed four cottonmouth snakes yesterday in the swamp. caught a huge softshell turtle too.

yeah cotton mouths are nasty. same with water moccasins. i went down to his garage to put my short shifter in...didnt happen. we killed another snake...im starting to think these arent rattle snakes. they are in the water. but nonetheless we shot it with a 22 and had to cut it in half to finaly kill it. ill have pics up in a bit

I said that to Gorden earlier... the tail doesn't look like timbers or eastern massasauga rattlers. Plus, if you've found another one, it's unlikely to be a rattler- they're highly territorial. It's probably a copperhead.

im with lexi.. the lack of a rattle would mean not a rattle snake (at least i cant SEE a rattle.. it is a tiny snake though)

you guys have three kinds of venoumous snakes

http://www.dnr.state...85/Default.aspx

bottom of the page in the link goes to more specific info on each on.. lexi named all three actually lol but im going to agree with the copper head

we dont have snakes here... well not in the suburbs but if you go to some of the more desert parts like Perris or something im there are cause people are allowed to have guns there but mostly cause of coyotes....its weird how in states where you are allowed to have guns people use them for good such as killing dangerous animals.... give a guy a gun here he'll freaking try to rob an atm machine... lol

how can you rob an atm machine with a gun? i dont think the atm gives a damn if you have a gun

we are allowed to have whatever in SC.. so many people hunt and what not its hard to say no to guns

yeah it was too dark to see last night. but it looks more like copperheads. but they still arent good to have around. it might be some sort of water snake though. thats where we found them

yeah we have 3 or 4 kinds of bad snakes. water moccasins, copperhead, hognose in southern ohio. and the milk snake and suck. they may be gentle, but damn their venom is nasty

it was a joke... trying to say that some people are stupid here...if you give a gun to a guy here he'll pretty much just use it for destruction... rob, kill, anything.. even try to rob an atm machine.. get it? ha ha ha funny... lol

were trying, the snake away isnt working. ill pass on getting bit, not the best thing to happen. so im fixing up he airsoft gun here soon and installing a new spring. will be shooting around 650fps lol. thats enough to pierce the skin easily. at the 400fps its at now it pierces the skin. and i have full auto on it too so thats more fun. other than that my uncle is going to keep using his 22 and garden hoe lol

all snakes need water, just like anything else living. just because you found them in water doesn't mean its a water snake. They take in moisture through their skin, as well as drinking it, and using it to cool off and regulate their body temp. It could be a northern water snake though... which isn't venomous and is common throughout ohio.

as for sarah's hognose comment, I'm pretty certain hognoses aren't venomous- they tend to play dead when they're threatened.

Another three snakes down today. Three water mocassins, actually. They're always fun to find, at least before the sun is out and they've warmed up and got spunky. Gotta' love Florida. Killed a couple of pygmy rattlesnakes last week. Not allowed to take photos on the jobsite.. seeing as I'm not technically supposed to have a camera phone..

wow Ben, awesome!

I wouldn't be able to live in Florida since you guys have crocodiles/alligators and those are the ONLY thing in the world that I'm afraid of.

LOL there is nothing in Cali to kill...maybe find a lizzard LOL
