Rocco is trying to convince me to go B-20 and build the shiot out of it as well.

 

That's not a bad suggestion. It's a fairly cheap motor, it's only downfall is it doesn't have v-tec but if you built it, I'm sure that wouldn't matter.

 

You could bore out a B18C1 to 2.0 liters and have the best of both worlds.

If I go B-20 it will most likely be a turbo build, so not too worried about Vtec!:)

Is the compression ratio on a B20 good for boost or do you intend on changing that with the internals?

 

Any time line for this full build? two years maybe?

 

You definitely should have upgraded to the PasswordJdm strut bad for the extra $30 or so dollars. I looked up what it was worth these days after talking to you the other day.

I like what I got. Besides I am getting as good of deals as I can so I can do budget build, and get everything done at once. B20 build will be complete rebuild, or any motor I do for that matter.

B20 cylinder walls are sooooo thin. You could always sleeve it but.. still there's always that risk.

 

They do rock some low compression from the factory though. And you can retain A/C as well.

Hey im liking it, wish you luck on the build! btw what ever happened to your first sol?

could you tell me what kind of engine is in your samba?

 

Same engine in all 3 Sol's. D16Z6 SOHC vtec. Sold first Samba Sol for $6500 because we needed to pay off a couple bills, and put a tranny in wife's Toreass!:blush:

i wouldent go with the pwjdm strut bars. imho they are overpriced cheaply made replicas. you can buy the real part usually cheaper.

 

 

 

pearce why not try a k20??? im becoming fond of the kseries motors. they can handle like 41psi of boost on stock internals i think. could be wrong so if i am someone correct me. got your wheels yet?

ive seen both vids. the second vid doesnt even say anything about being boosted.

 

thats because the hatch in the second vid is N/A and isnt boosted . the only thing in the second video with boost is the supra .

 

mike i want your sol now damnit. i give you 1 dollah
