fujitsubo
I've searched the forum but didn't get a proper answer to this. Here goes, whenever i turn off the car (switching from key from on to off position) i hear a noise that sounds like a whinning noise from the steering columnn or somewhere near it. At first i thought it might be from the automatic door lock mechanism but it's not. the sounds comes on only after the car is turned off and stays on for about 3 seconds and then disappears. Does this sound like an electrical thing? Car starts fine, and there's no noise during start up. Thanks for viewing. fuji

fujitsubo
it is a 2009 Civic Sedan. it's not anything to do with a fan though. It's a whinning noise coming from the steering column, similar to a buzzer not it's not a buzzer, and it's not like a ring. Sounds like eeeeerrrrrr, for 2 seconds and then stops... That's my best ephonetic as it sounds. what kind of civic is it? and u sure it's electronicle? maybe it's the fan that's stays on.
