Today, I realized...

first one is sex. i fully understand the roof rack considering my bike doesn't fit in the trunk, and if i have that much money to blow on an accord the trunk would deff be full of sound system. but wtf at poke and stretch. i still see no sense in it. since when does something that doesn't fit right look cool? it's like all the homo ass high school kids getting into skinny jeans. "it's different" you still look like a f*g....

Poke n stretch looks fking awesome... Americans just don't understand style that's all :p.

Those wheels on the white car ain't exactly suited to the car though...

I don't really get the roof rack thing either, like I'd say you'd only use that about 2 times a year, the rest of the time it's just there to look 'cool' in some way.

You sill have not given a reason why poke n stretch looks good other then its 'fking awesome'

It's actually quite useless and dangerous. You wouldn't be able to drive aggressively with it like that due to the sidewall rolling and marring the hell out of your wheels, and with the sidewall stretched like that it wouldn't take much to separate the tire bead. At least there is a possibility of using a roof rack for it's intended purpose, while ill fitting tires have no purpose.

The first car is nice, v6 and all. The second car wouldn't be bad but it's a 4 banger in one of the heaviest accords on the road. Damn thing can't get out of it's own way. You have never ridden in a slower 160hp in your life.

It looks good, just because it does! Like it's more suited to VW's and euro cars, I guess just because that scene rapes that look... I dunno, there's just something kinda different about it that makes some wheels 'pop'. It just gives a cool look to the tyres, IMO. Ya don't always need a reason for something.

Yeah it might not have any performance enhancements, quite the opposite, but when people do something for the style of it they don't really care about the consequences too much, and if they can afford new tyres more often, then meh, let them stretch their tyres! Like my spoiler and kit serves no purpose at all, does that matter? no, it doesn't, it's there for the looks and thats it. Same as with those tyres.

And I doubt that roof rack has ever been used more than a couple of times, that is just there for the looks too, can guarantee it.

Poke and stretch is really big int he audi/vw scene. i dont get it.

it looks like you were too stupid and couldnt find the right tire to fit your rim.

to me its kind of like buying a gaudy body kit putting it on, then driving around with it not painted

What's so funny about all of this -- is while all of you would expect a tire like that to break bead..it almost NEVER happens. Even under hard driving. A COUPLE of people from around here own VW's and they will not HAVE one unless it sports a look like that. We have haggard road conditions and they have heavy feet.. None of them break bead.

Does look akward depending on the rim though.

Very true... You do need the right kinda rim to make it look good. The rims on that accord aren't so suited to it... For a stretched tyre to look good you need a small 14/15/16 inch rim, with a big fat detailed chrome lip. Proper Euro style rim.
