Jinky27
Hey guys, i have a 94 civic dx coupe. all i have done to it is put a short ram intake and exhaust. i changed the spark plugs, oil and oil filter. once i did that she was running fine. i went to florida for a week and when i came back she started acting up. shes wasting too much gas and burning oil. she has trouble starting but when she starts she runs fine except for the burning of oil. sometimes when i go to turn the car on she just goes to start but when i let go of the key she turns back off. i have to sometimes give the car gas so that she starts up just fine. can anyone help me on what i should do to fix it? thanks
frostedflake
I also have a 94 dx and have had some of those problems myself. My car was bruning oil even though I take very good care of it. I found out my problem with oil was that I needed to replace my pcv valve on the intake manafold under the injectors. once I did that, no more burning or leaking oil. as far as the using too much gas, I would definately recoment changing the fuel filter on the firewall, its only like $15 and if its stopped up than that might cause those issues. good luck. frostedflake
I would also try changing your air filter if its dirty too, or if you have an aftermarket intake just clean it. I know it makes a big difference on mine.
