zcrx
well first of let me say this, i got a 91 crx for 1400 with no rust, full dc exhuast, new rad, new distrubitor, both front and rear strut supports, cold air intake, and of course the lovely ZC motor and trans swap. Since i got it i have put in a new fuel pump, relay assit or something like that, and now im going to swap the wire harness out with a new uncut one, replace timing belt and tensioner, water pump, and all of the gaskets inside of the engine. the reason behind doing the harness and stuff is becuase the harness looks liek a reatrd did it and i need the head gasket so will have it apart might as well do all of the gaskets and teh timing belt.im hopeing that this will solve the starting problem is was having. before i started the process of removeing the engine it wouldnt start or idle for crap, when i did have it idleing it would have to idle at 1250 rpm and the timing sounded off by a hair. it seems like it isnt getting enough air for the mixture though also becuase when i got it started the first time it would want to shut off below 1000 rpm unless i kept my foot into the gas. sorry i dont have pics right now but i will get some up asap. and if anyone could tell me how to take the axles out that would be wonderful. zcrx
so i got the engine out with no problems 2 days ago. i put the engine in my driveway overnight. then i tore the engine down yesterday and you would never believe what the problem was all this time, it was one of my connecting rods. my # 3 connecting rod was bent, im lucky as all hell that it didnt blow or score the crap out of my bore.
