Fat 5's. What's the big deal?

So i just bought my first ever Honda. Its a 99 Civic EX and i am extremly impressed with the brand. It runs like a beauty and i have had very few problems with it. The other day i was having my friend help me put in a stereo into the car. He is a Honda fanatic and noticed that i had Honda Fat 5 rims. I have no idea what that means because they look generic to me. Anyone know what the big deal is about these rims? Are they supposed to be worth money or something?

they are ok rims. its more or less just the style. it looks like they have 5 big fat spokes. i have always wanted some for my hatch but could never find any lol. but the thing u have to watch for are blades. they are becoming hard to find anymore

Neither blades nor fat fives are rare. I had a set of blades on my 00 hatch. Nothing to get excited about.

Hell, you can buy reproduction sets of either type on ebay for excellent prices. Only thing they do not include are oem style center caps.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!

i dont like the blades because they are backwards on one side of the car.
