Changing Stock Headunit

So I have done this myself, it's been several months, works properly. It was a pain, but I got it done. Here's some pics to follow you along my journey:

 

So your stock unit looks like this eh? Not anymore :)

I removed the bottom dash panels...

...removed the screws that hold the bezel...

...so I could then remove the bezel.

I brought the bezel inside for further disassembly.

I installed the new head unit, a Kenwood KDC-MP242 unit.

I gave her a test to see if she worked... and it did, on first try!

Ha, the stock honda radio is so funny looking. I have an EK as well, but it came with a pioneer head unit when i got it.

 

lol, dude it sucked because I had to play CDs, and then guess what? Yup.. the CD player went out. And I can't drive without my jams, and I hate radio SO I spent $110 and countless hours to put that Kenwood unit in. And Pioneer units are sweeeeet!! Very premium!

you can even plug in usb external hard drives. its pretty sick.

 

Very nice! I've kinda liked the retracting screens, but I have never needed them lol. You looking into buying it?
