egswap93
i have a 1993 honda civic SI D16z6 the timing belt tensioner bolt broke off in my block. i have made a few attempts at removing the bolt by drilling it out and using a tap and die but with no success i was just wondering if there is any way to save my motor and if so please let me know. thanks: Richard
SpeedDemon
my first response was a tap and dye but since it is to no avail i say take it to a shop and let them do it(if u can have it towed). if you cant just try to keep drilling it out for a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. then use a screw extractor. frostedflake
Get a helicoil insert set. It should work out. you can get them at most auto parts stores.
cranny
find a welder , and someone who knows how to use it. weld a bolt to the bolt broke off in the engine , wait for it to fully cool , and remove it. if this doesnt work , take it to a machine shop.
