Hi everyone. I'm new as you've probably gathered. I drive a 91 Honda CRX Si (turbo b18c 297hp) & a 95 Mazda Miata & am hoping to pick up a sport bike in the near future. Anyways, here's some pictures (no engine pics as the CRX is in the process of being parted out so I can start another project... 297 isn't enough kids.)

wow im surprised you can run that much boost on stock internals. what did you tune it with?

It was dyno tuned by John Vega (phearable.net - I have a lot of respect for this guy.) on ectune. Thus far I've seen no problems at this boost level.

Welcome.

Don't tell me the Miata is your daily : bleh :

:)

The Miata makes a fabulous daily - the most fun I've had going the speed limit... with four wheels... Sorry. ;)

The CRX is way too much fun while accelerating past the speed limit to be a daily...

i had an interesting conversation with some people on here the other day about how they think miatas are only drove by gays and lesbians and are horrible cars even though there is so much you can do with them

anyway welcome!

ive never been a fan of crx's but i think its cool you actually did something with it AND got it tuned.. i know so many people with b's that are slow as crap cause they dont build them right and they dont get them tuned

its kind of funny how people pick on miatas but if you go to Skip Barber racing school at Laguna Seca guess what they use....MIATAS!

dont get chris started on miatas (Tko)... he'll go on about how they are the most raced cars in stuff

i was looking at getting a miata till i discovered a del sol had more to its looks and i thought i would fit better

yeah i think mazdas in general are the most raced car on any given day.

i still prefer sol > miata because there is NO room inside the miata whereas the sol theres surprisingly a lot. i had to move a miata into the garage when i was doing the body work on my sol and i could barely get my feet into the foot well

Exactly... although, I kind of like it that way. Things that don't appeal to the 16-24 age bracket have cheaper insurance.

I originally wanted a Del Sol... couldn't find one in my price range at the time and ended up with the CRX.

I originally felt quite cramped, (and I'm only 5'7) but as you get used to driving it you find that it fits like a comfortable glove. The inside of the Miata feels like a cockpit to me... which I found appealing. Not to mention, as a fan of just driving in general I thought it might be fun to get some seat time in something RWD. I still don't believe RWD is "better" per say, just different.
