lbits47
Hello all..... Hopefully this is a place to get some help... I have a 1997 Honda Civic ex with 164,000 miles. The transmission is nearly shot, you have to put it in second gear to get it going. I am moving from Ohio to Washington DC, where I will not need it. What are my options for selling my Civic? Any advice on selling it with a bogus tranny? Any ideas how much I could get for it? Thanks for the help!
alex37211
Your best bet is to replace the trans and then sell it. I paid $75 for a d tranny. With a shot trans you'd be hard pressed to get a grand for it. Replace the tranny (maybe $100 for a d15 trans) and sell it for like $2500. (depending on the shape of body, engine, etc)
