SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 ok i remember on here a while back someone said that they had a doctor/eye doc note so they could have really dark tint on all windows. i cant remember who it was or i would pm them. but does anyone know who it was? or how i could go about getting something that would allow me to get 20% or 5% on all the windows? because i am having a really hard time seeing in direct sunlight, eye doc already said i was sensitive to light so idk....anyone got any answers? lol
airjordan223 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 haha that sounds awesome. i think a doctors note would be sufficient enough
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 sufficient enough to be legal? lol. ive got the back 3 at 5% already. i need the front sides at 5% and the front itself probably at 35/20
airjordan223 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 wait do you need it or want it? 5% on the fronts is damn dark man. you really wont be able to see anything out of it at night
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 i need it, probably not that dark though, maybe 35% on the front and sides yeah but sunglasses dont last with me, ive went through around 13 pair since janurary, figure window tint is one time and lifetime guarantee jesus that bug is getting on my nerves
DelSolSweetie Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 i always sit on mine when i get in the car my bf bought me some of those oversized ones with stars on them for like 10 bucks.. have lasted so far
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 i get the cheapie stuff from walmart, but like you i sat on mine and spiderwebed the lenses. or i scrape the shat outta them. plus if i have my actual glasses on then no sunglasses, cause those attachments for galsses are useless lol
airjordan223 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 prescription sunglasses homie. awesome purchase. dont dont be a dumbass and break them
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 eventually they will break, and my insurance will not cover those either, already been down that road with them
airjordan223 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 ive had my oakleys for over 5 years and not a scratch on them. just get a nice hard case for them and always put them back when you take them off
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 i got one, i always end up scratching them while i have them on or they fall off my face. it just never fails. ill see if i can get into the eye doc and get a slip written out
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 WTF @ windshield tint wut? im pretty sure i was meaning the front window lol
wannaBstuntin Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 im pretty sure i was meaning the front window lol Wut? I'm still not getting it...? You're only tinting one front window?
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 no im tinting every window. its a hatchback, the back 3 are 5%. driver and passenger sides are 50%, front just has a sunbar. i would like to have the driver and passenger windows darker and want to tint the front.
airjordan223 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 no im tinting every window. its a hatchback, the back 3 are 5%. driver and passenger sides are 50%, front just has a sunbar. i would like to have the driver and passenger windows darker and want to tint the front. yeah 50% is nothing. 18% would be pretty dark but somewhat reasonable at night
wannaBstuntin Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Still.....wtf do you mean when you say "tint the front"???
airjordan223 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 tint the front means the front drivers/passengers windows, NOT the windshield
SpeedDemon Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 no i was thinking about doing the windshield too
lceah Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 ^but it will make it harder to see...especially at night! There are also the clear tints (no darker than stock windows) that are for keeping sunlight away...since you are sensitive to sunlight
SpeedDemon Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 ill have to look into that, if i was going to tint the windshield it would be 70%, but thats almost a waste of money, i drove today, it was raining so it was all good. sun comes out and i get a searing headache...
lceah Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 ^that sucks! I hope you find good stuff ask a tint shop also...they are the experts in it
SpeedDemon Posted July 30, 2009 Author Posted July 30, 2009 oh yeahif i get it done im taking it to our local shop
