asick
I just replaced my rear brakes now the brakes are not working, paddle goes to the floor and if it drive it almost doesnt stor the car and goes all the way to the floor. If I sturn off the engine, the break comes back and there is resistance on the paddle. While replacing the rotor, I couldnt push the piston back and noticed a small tear on the rubber cover on top of the piston, can that cause the issue? how can I get it to work? Thanks for your help....

Kastigir
I have never had to bleed my brakes with just changing pads, shoes, or even rotors. Only time I've had to bleed is when I've cracked open the system while replacing a caliper, wheel cylinder, or master cylinder. I find it odd that a certified mechanic would need to bleed the brakes after a brake job.
