Regmike
I have read a couple of posting indicating valve damage due to a timing belt and/or water pump failure. I have a 4 cly engine in a 98 Accord with 92000 miles. Can timing belt failure cause valve damage in the this type of engine?
lceah
if the timing belt snaps while driving, there can be damage to valves! what happened to your car/timing belt?
Jeffro
Honda recommends a 105k change ont he timing belt and water pump... Did yours break?
lceah
right...change the timing belt according to miles and also according to age! If the timing belt on the car is 6 or 7 years (check manual) old, then change it.
