Jonathan360
Hey all, new member here. Obviously we always wonder if we got a great deal. I just bought a brand new CRV my very first Honda, and I kind of like to knwo whether or not i got a good deal. I paid out the door $21,288. I am in California and obviously my sales tax is higher here. But I wanted to know if it was a good deal. I also got suckered into getting the KARR alarm system. Which was around $495 on top of the $21,288. I considered the lojack which wasl ike 150 or 200 more, but I went with the alarm. Can anybody add in their 2 cents, and let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks!
Xeryon
.... But I wanted to know if it was a good deal... Since you asked: Whether you got a good deal or not is irrelevant at this point because you have already committed. Your question would be relevant if you had asked it before buying the vehicle. I agree with Seb. Unless you are independently wealthy buying a new vehicle is a poor choice from a financial point of view. (it is still a poor decision if you are wealthy but at least you will have the excess money to burn). Also keep in mind that unless you paid for that car in cash your actual purchase price will be considerably higher then the sticker price you think you paid. My personal opinion: Most any CRV is overpriced. For what they are they were nice vehicles, but the AWD gets horrendous fuel mileage for it being a Honda, poor handling, awful power (espicially older models) and only mediocre passanger space and access for the premium you pay. The rear cargo hatch is nice, but I have nearly that amount of space in my hatchback. Just not my vehicle preference which is why Honda makes more then one model.
