wannaBstuntin Posted December 2, 2008 Share Posted December 2, 2008 theres a phone service over here in the uk, which does the same thing, you just play a song down the phone, and it'll tell you what it is...i guess they just have a massive bank of music, their software listens to what you play in, recognises frequencies, beat, sounds, whatever, and narrows it down until they have your song? If only you knew how f*cking ridiculously hard that is to program. I mean the pattern recognition part would be relatively easy compared to the search and match algorithm.
