sup
Some of the ones I have: OmNomNom (old school snake) Shazam (crazy things that recognizes whatever song is playing in a room) Sportacular (keeping up with scores) Remote (wirelessly control iTunes on your computer from the phone) Translator (translates stuff into different languages) Google Earth (effing neat) Pandora (sooo good) Google (voice recognition for searches)
Nancy
what the hell!? shazam is crazy, how does it do that?
SolMusic
theres a phone service over here in the uk, which does the same thing, you just play a song down the phone, and it'll tell you what it is... i guess they just have a massive bank of music, their software listens to what you play in, recognises frequencies, beat, sounds, whatever, and narrows it down until they have your song? The remote for itunes is sweet.

If only you knew how f*cking ridiculously hard that is to program. I mean the pattern recognition part would be relatively easy compared to the search and match algorithm. SolMusic
yeah i can imagine! I've done a bit of simple coding before, just html and shockwave/director scripting though, I hated it! I don't get how people can do all that stuff....
