Hondahunter
Okay, so my buddy Richard is jealous of my B16 Wants to drop one in his Si, and he is going to go through hmotorsonline.com Need to know the difference between these two http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search...&item=30001 http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search...&item=30002 With either of these, will a shift linkage be all we need? Is that simple to find? Btw his is an autotragic I know we will need a VTEC gauge cluster, anything else?
shak3yb0n3z
well right away you notice that one is sold out. and the other isn't. so this is going into a del sol? http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search...&item=30005 that would be the one you want. you would want an obd 1 engine. if you're gonna spend some cash then why not just go for the GSR? http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000se...&item=30008 you just state your buddy wants one in his Si. civic hatch? year is a bit helpful. however since it's posted in the del sol site, i'll assume its for a del sol. you need the del sol linkage for the vtec model. and a vtec gauge cluster would be helpful. CRG7
You want a "complete" swap, and you want OBD-I (SiR-II) if it's going into a 92-95. You'll need a pedal assembly if it's being changed over
jerrodh
The SIR2 is the one you want. Complete swap sets you up for pretty much everything you need except maybe a rear mount. VTEC gauge cluster isn't really necessary if you have the Si. Just notice that car doesn't redline at 6200 or whatever the old motor did but upwards to 8200 now. Hondahunter
Jerrod: I was thinking about trying to convince him to go with GSR as well. We will see it's his car. yes, it's a Del Sol Si, 93 I believe. I was going to go ahead and do the gauge cluster as it has the higher redline as well as the delete of the PRND21 or whatever lights it has . Not that they would light up. Basically for the tach. CRG7: How difficult is it to find the pedal assembly? And the one I listed that was sold out, isn't that a complete change-over as well?
jerrodh
I have a b16 from hmotors installed in my Sol with my original SI gauge cluster and no codes being thrown, etc.

CRG7
Go to a junkyard and grab a pedal assembly, so... won't be hard. It's not Sol-specific.
