Mitchness
It takes a front clip swap. Very intensive build that requires swapping your core support as well as welding and body work. Not really worth it in my opinion if all you want it is the headlights. It has been done obviously but not really something to undertake without massive research and fabbing skills... unless you have a shop do it for you. rockstarcolin
yeah thats what i have been told, but do you have any idea where to start looking?
cmgogo
yeah, just did an eg swap, should be the same basic steps, just substite eg parts for yours. solvic or just google solvic and a few things should pop for ya. also if you do it make sure to take off your core support w/o damaging it, people will pay upwards of around 500 bucks for a good core support for a sol (you just cant find em anymore, and any aftermarket ones run over 650) So you could atleast make your money back and then some. also heres another guy doing a conversion right now papa

DelSolSweetie
i can show you pics of how it looked when i got it.. when they fixed it the first time.. and after i wrecked it how the guy messed up the fender flares and the hood latch i actually bought mine already done so i would go by his step by step.. and he did his the right way with just cuttin the fenders in half.. the morons who did mine had each fender in four pieces and did it that way which makes room for a lot more mistakes and stuff not sittin right but a lot of people screw up their eg fronts and they look like crap.. mine doesnt look too bad compared to some.. and it'll look better when i can get the hood latch on right so the hood doesnt sit funny
cmgogo
yeah but i did mine hehe, oh sarah did you get the pics i sent on the hood latch? if not pm me, or call me, u got the # also rockstar, i dunno if you got a pm w/ my number or not, if not let me know, and if you have any questions dont hesitate to call allright? anyways best of luck, and hope all goes well for ya. oh and yeah, mine looks like poo right now, not painted, body work isnt smoothed out, still have a lil griding and shapping to do w/ the arches, and still need to line up the panels a bit better, but for a weekend job, and using junk yard parts i would say it didnt come out too bad. rockstarcolin
oh no i haven't recieved the pm you sent yet, but i do appreciate that!! i could use your number when it comes time to actually doing it right now, but seeing as how im only 17 (almost 18 woohoo!) im still trying to get my hands on that beautiful Sol and keep my current car, so the sol is my "toy car" do you think i will run into any major differences/problems seeing as how the conversion i want to put on is the ek conversion as apposed to the eg? cause yours definitely turned out nice, and i want good results as well, but seeing as how it is a slightly different conversion im not sure... also to the both of you Thank you!!! haha i honestly wasn't expecting to have people as willing and as kinda of heart to help me with this, especially since it kinda pisses off all the purists, but the point of having a dream/toy car or car at all (no matter what it is) is to do what you can to make it yours right???? haha but point being i am forever grateful for the help you've given me so far!!! haha anyways im done with my sentimental moment for now thanks again! alex37211
I really like the way that sol in the first post looks. It reminds me of an s2000. Kinda s2000ish...s2000esk if you will.
