the usual intake, header, highflow cat, and catback exhaust will wake it up a little.

if you want more than you need to start planning on what you are going to do with the car. if you want to swap the motor wait till after the swap to buy anything else performance wise. however after you decide to keep the motor or not that is in it then you need to decide if you want to build a daily driver, strip, or a auto-x car? after that do you want to boost it, or go all motor car? once you find these out then we can help you out with what you want to buy.

You need to have that typed up and saved so you can just copy and paste!

If you're going to swap, then no. Use the money you'd put towards modifications right now towards your swap, then worry about buying mods.

For a COMPLETE swap it ran me $2250 for everything inclusive, mounts and everything for my Del Sol thats through my local tuning shop who bought off of www.hmotorsonline.com, so you'll not to far off especially if you can/are doing the work yourself.

IMO If your serious about getting the most out of performance swap for a b-series at the least. I mean you got other options like low boost turbo setup on you'll z6 which has been done effectively before (Recent project car magizine for more info). But a turbo b-series will walk a turbo d.

thanx man but how much will it cost if i swap in a jdm b16a bcuz i only have about 1600

You'll be spending about $1500-1600 on the "swap", then you'll need mounts (another $200-300), possibly axles depending on if you get new or used with the swap. Ideally, you'd want to replace a few parts before putting the motor & trans in. You'd have to decide if you're doing the swap yourself/with friends or if you're going to be paying labor on it. Etc.

You have the SiR II, he'd be looking for the SiR I.

There are numerous write-ups online for the B16 swap into the CRX. I'm not sure what your knowledge level is when it comes to the car and to the mechanics, but it's an easy swap (it did come from the factory in the SiR model, after all). Ask your friends and family, they might be able to help or might know someone who will help out.

Depending on your location, and what's available around you, you may have to pay for S/H on the swap as well, which is around $300ish.

I threw that out there. But if he where to swap a b-series then turbo that it would stomp the d-series. Not to mention he'd be set for having alot more reliable car considering his motor probably already has alot of miles onboard.

But hes on a strict budget with minimum car experience so building up a motor wouldnt be ideal for him to do and paying someone to build a motor will likely run more than paying someone to do an entire swap.

Labor + parts = more than B16. But it will walk a B16.

B's are for bling.

Stock D < Stock B

Built D < Built B

Turbo D < Turbo B

Can't fight the facts.
