haha would have to agree with the custome exhaust part but if im going aftermarket RSR ftw lol but between the 2 your looking at i would say Tanabe

The ExMag was only manufactured for the VTEC model Sol.

The Hyper Medalion and World Sport are comparable. I went with the Tanabe for my Sol, and couldn't be happier with it.

Apexi WS2 would be my choice. The quieter the better and I don't think it get's much quieter (aftermarket) than the WS2.

Did you run aftermarket or just stick with stock on your teggy?

No...I've got Comptech exhaust on mine which was really quiet for a long time....it's started getting louder though lately which at 8 years old is understandable. If I wasn't back and forth about selling my car so much I'd consider replacing mine with the WS2.

If you do replace it, consider the ExMag. That's what the Prelude will be getting eventually here. I'm still saddened that I never got to hear it run on the CRX.

For the record, the VTEC sols have the exact same exhaust setup as every other sol. Dunno why they differentiate on all the sites but my system came off BDS' old VTEC sol and fit absolutely fine without any modifications at all.

I'd bet the diameter is larger on the VTEC model though, even if only slightly. (obviously speaking about stock vs. stock)

I beg to differ, dear sir. The S's exhaust is 1 5/8" the VTEC's is 2"

While that's true with regards to stock piping, the OP wasn't talking at all about stock systems, nor was CRG's point about the ExMag only being available for VTEC sols pertaining to a stock system.

Please, if you're gonna be a stickler for accuracy, make sure it's relevant.

That's talking about the exhaust setup which to me is different than talking about aftermarket exhausts. I believe we were just saying they don't have the exact same exhaust setup if one has larger diameter piping.

Edit: The OP also never asked about comparing the exhausts from different del sol's yet you gave it....it's what we call a discussion and my post about the diameter is no different.....part of a discussion. Obviously if you could read very well, you'd realized that we answered your question......

Dunno why they differentiate on all the sites

Answer is because the part numbers are different in stock form, so they are going to differentiate them in aftermarket form.

This is what I meant. I understand that the original topic was about aftermarkets but when you say "exact same setup" that, to me, means identical in every aspect when it seems now you meant they are the same only in their routing. Didn't mean to be bitchy about it.

Whatever. Obviously it matters much more to you guys to be right than me. I still maintain that my comments made sense and that I know how to read perfectly well. I'm not saying you guys are wrong in any way, I'm just saying that comparing stock piping in a thread about aftermarket exhaust fitment could cause him to not buy a product for fear of fitment issues that are irrelevant.
