I am thinking of getting a bicycle to ride as a hobby. I was in denver colorado last week and all i did was bike on trails. It was my first time riding a bike that actually had gears. I am still kind of learning how to work those gears! I'm use to regular bikes where you just pedal lol

Do any of you guys ride? If so, what kind of bikes do you suggest? Id like to know the price too.

i have a raleigh, not the most high end, not walmart, its nice.

i have it serviced at the start of every spring, and havent had any issues with it at all.

mines a couple years old but this one is close to its specs, i paid over 300 for it, well worth every penny.

theres a guy on automotivetech.org that rides bikes professionally, he could give you any info you would need if your really serious about taking it up as a hobby, his log on id there is SGD, very knowledgeable.

good luck :)

What does 21 speed mean? Sorry, I am completely clueless when it comes to bikes.

it's just a mountain bike with 3 gears on the crank pedal that ae selectable and 7 gears on the rear rim that are selectable.

I have a Schwinn Moab, it was like $800 back in 2000 or 2001, kind of old, but it is in great condition, only used it for like, 20 miles maybe.

That looks like the exact bike, so I am guessing it is the Schwinn Moab 3.

mountain biking is fun, road bikes are boring to me because all you do is ride along a sidewalk or in the street, i can do that in my car. my friend had a really nice $2k mountain bike with adjustable gas suspenion, 21 speeds, carbon fiber frame. the thing was smooth as silk, taking off in the lowest gear could easily put you into a wheely, and it was effortless to ride.

I'm trying to get into biking here too after doing it as a real mode of transport over in France for six months. I have an old mountain bike, 21 speed, but it hasn't been "tuned" in a while. Any good resources you've found?

yo my brother has a Kona Muni-Mula for sale. its a few years old, but he only rode it for a few weeks, then got his license, so the bike was stored in the basement.
