m3gach33zy
Hey guys I have a 2005 civic coupe. I think I need to replace the clutch because when I shift into gears it feels pretty tough. also when i'm trying to accelerate I dont really go that quick. I had to learn on this clutch and i know when i burned it and stuff and its pretty different from then. I was trying to figure out if its the flywheel thats needing to be replaced? or is it release barings? master cylinders? pressure plates? and if i were to purchase the clutch aftermarket and take it with me to a mechanic will he install that one with no questions asked? i'm pretty new to cars and parts and stuff so any help would be appreciated. Depends on the mechanic! Some will do it, but not warrenty the work! Others will turn you down flat! Is there any way you can do this yourself? Is really one of the easier things you can do on a Honda! I suggest as usual a exedy clutch kit! Cheapest place I have found them is on Ebay! HOw many miles is on car? It does sound to me like maybe you glazed your clutch disc? Did you have a hard time learning stick? Did you smell a burnt smell?
