James Matteu
that's pretty funny. so you probably went right by co-workers, then when they finally got there they just looked at you like you were a jerk. Naw, the people sitting in traffic that don't know me gave the dirty looks. The people from work were all like, "hey I know that guy!" We're all pretty chummy around here. cranny
thank the greedy capitalists. the only reason gas is going up like it is , is cause they are making us pay for thier rise in business costs for one thing. its funny how they still post 40 billion dollar 1/4 profits , but it keeps going up. worldwide to. monopolys and capitalism is killing the world. the same guys that own the gas , own the food , and the drug companies , and eveything else. my little guy has a kidney disease , weve narrowed it down to him getting a flu immunization. so the flu shot gave my little a boy a kidney disease cause of an adverse reaction(this is not a claim , its well researched). and its funny , i came across this interesting piece of info the other day , george bush actually passed a bill/law , saying no person was allowed to sue pharmaceutical companies for any mistakes or harm done. now you tell me , why would he do that if he wasnt protecting his own ass? or the drug companies for whatever reason? which there can only be one , cause he has his hands in that too. anyways , kind of a rant , but when your watching your little boy spend most of his 2 year old days in the hospital taking drugs no kid shoud be taking , all cause of a tainted/not well enough designed vaccinne , it would play on you as well. right now im paying 1.44 a litre. for you imperial people , thats 5.04 a gallon for 91. which isnt even 91 , how do i knw? i run a 91 octane fuel map on my car , i gotta pull 4 degrees of timing out due to crapty fuel and spark knock. so id say the supposed 91 in our pumps is no better than 89. lceah
^I'm so sorry...I hope he feels better soon...allll my best wishes go out to your son and you and your family you are so right! They just care about themselves! The pigs that get to power shouldn't get there! Bush is the worst! I agree with you on oil companies wanting to profit more; I mentioned this in the other thread...Instead of them running their business more efficienty to make more profit, they just raise the price! f'ers! Around here they take the cheapest mix of hydrocarbons and mix it will a high "octane" until the desired vapor pressure is acheived. You could have a mix of 75 "octane" and 115 "octane". For those who don't know, I put "octane" in quotations to distinguish it from the chemical iso-octane. Remember, 100 "octane" has an anti-knock character equal to 100% iso-octane but that doesn't mean it actually is 100% iso-octane, any number of hydrocarbon mixtures can give the desired anti-knock level offered in a 100 "octane" fuel. In North Florida, most gas stations offer 87, 89, and 91 "octane", but only have 87 and 91 "octane" in the ground. The POS (Point Of Sale) device mixes the intermediate "octane" rating as you pump it into your car. why would he do that if [bush] wasnt protecting his own ass? If we had a president that came from the beef industry, and ground beef jumped in price to $25 per pound, we would cry foul and have that chump impeached instantly. I don't see how gasoline should be treated any differently. NPR reported on the capital hill debate of ceasing further additions to the strategic reserve. The president was quoted as saying such a change would make no change to the price of gas since the amount of crude added to the strategic reserve represents less than 1% of the world production. Funny how he refuses to admit how much of the US supply he is taking. It is meaningless to speak of the strategic reserve contribution in terms of global production since it is the US supply that is affected by that contribution, not the global supply, i.e. Bush doesn't contribute to the strategic reserve with crude that would've gone to China, he is taking it from us, from our (the US) crude supply! Tubbith
The problem with the gas prices is b/c the price of crude oil is set based on the US dollar. And since everyone is screamin ression(and no, we are not in a ression, we are just in a slow economy) and the US dollar isnt worth what it once was, gas prices are up. Another porblem is that we have tree huggers keeping us from drilling on our own soil. If we could go into certain areas of the US and drill, we would more than enough of a supply to lower prices. One thing is for sure, gas will never get cheaper. As long as big boys see that we will pay $x.xx for our gas, it will stay there or go no where but up from there... Gas will never go down more than a few cents. We might as well get used to paying high gas prices.. Complaining does nothing for the prices of gas... we are all still driving. Most of us have to drive, we dont have the opition of walk/ridin a bike.. so no sense in doing anything other than adjusting our budget to pay for our commute... CRG7
It was 5.09 in the city for premium w/ full service sometime last week. Around here, it was 4.65 for premium late last week. I get gas in Jersey. I also haven't put gas in the Sol in 3-4 weeks, and it has 3/4 of a tank of gas. Not really taking my car anywhere for the past few weeks rocks.... to an extent. I don't look at the numbers anymore...I don't want a heart-attack lol Normally I don't either, but its been 2 weeks since I had to fill up one of the cars so I glanced at it. Then I fainted. Then I filled up anyway and drove to West LA @ 8am, sitting in stop and go traffic for nearly and hour. All this after waking up 2 hours early. I love mornings!
